What started as an idea nearly a decade ago has become a reality here at the Chisago Lakes Achievement Center.
We wondered what our agency could offer the public at large. We also wondered if there was something we could do that would set our agency apart from other human service agencies similar to our own.
In 2007, the CLAC boldly decided to add onto its existing center and dedicate a majority of new space to a retail venture called Art of Craft Creations. This unique store would feature hand-crafted items, bird seed, bird houses and feeders, and various other goods proudly made or assembled by the clients we serve.
Art of Craft Creations celebrated its grand opening on October 3, 2009, and in doing so, built a bridge that will promote disability awareness and community integration.
You can feel good about shopping at Art of Craft Creations, because all of the store’s proceeds directly benefit the participants who create and assemble the items we sell.
